Brandon Davis is a leading progressive strategist who brings broad experience in political advocacy, organizing and management to his role as managing director of GPS Impact’s Washington, D.C. office.
Most recently the Chief of Staff at the Democratic National Committee, Davis oversaw the party’s day-to-day operations during the 2016 general election. Prior to that, Davis spent nearly a decade in senior leadership positions at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). As the SEIU’s National Political Director from 2011-2016, Davis led one of the country’s largest and most impactful national political programs — mobilizing SEIU’s two million members in national community-based movements to win key elections, while working closely with national and state progressive allies to invest in building the permanent political infrastructure needed to win and sustain progressive policies in communities across the country.
Over the past decade, Davis has served progressive causes in a variety of arenas, serving on the boards of America Votes, the Black and Latino Civic Engagement Funds (Democracy Alliance), Priorities USA, and State Voices. Prior to that, Davis worked extensively on electoral campaigns. Among other races, he helped lead Claire McCaskill’s 2006 U.S. Senate campaign to victory as Political Director and Deputy Campaign Director, giving Missourians a strong voice in the United States Senate.
