Ben specializes in communications strategy, press relations and middle-eastern foreign policy. He has served as a member of the communications team on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign, helped run the United States Senate campaign for Iowa Senate Minority Leader Rob Hogg and has held various roles in the Iowa Senate.
Beyond his work in politics, Ben also served in the First Infantry Division of the United States Army. His deployment history includes battling the advancement of Taliban forces along the Band-e-tenor river valley of southern Kandahar Province, Afghanistan in 2011-12.
Ben has a degree in American foreign policy and political science from the University of Iowa. He lives in Des Moines with his wife, Danielle and son, Thomas. He is a craft beer enthusiast and dedicated Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
