Andrew Roos will join GPS Impact as a Principal and will be the firm’s first employee based in New England. Roos has 20 years of experience in electoral politics, government and digital marketing, and will bring extensive campaign management experience to the GPS Impact team.
Most recently Roos served as Head of Industry for Democratic Elections at Google from 2015 through 2018 where he was responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in political digital advertising. Roos took on that role after previously serving as an Account Executive at Google from 2010 through 2012, helping start their Elections and Issue Advocacy team. In between his roles at Google, Roos served as Chief of Staff for current Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo during her tenure as General Treasurer and in the same role for current Rhode Island General Treasurer Seth Magaziner.
Prior to joining Google in 2010, Roos worked for over a decade on political campaigns ranging from local candidates to a presidential race. With a strong background in grassroots organizing, he has been a campaign manager or the senior adviser on multiple campaigns, ranging from very small to multi-million dollar budgets. He has worked on six governor’s races, serving as campaign manager for four of those. Roos has BA from the University of Notre Dame, and attended Graduate School in the Department of Philosophy at Brown University.
