GPS Impact is hiring a full-time Digital and Content Strategist to join our growing GPS Influence Team. This position can be remote (pending location approval) or based in one of our physical office locations of Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC.

We are a full-service public affairs and multimedia advertising agency with broad experience helping associations, advocacy groups, non-profits, and organizations use integrated, strategic communications and advertising to achieve their goals. The GPS Influence team delivers laser-focused advocacy campaigns – leveraging digital, earned, and paid media strategies to maximize reach and impact across multiple channels.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on the internal team for several client accounts.
  • Help develop and execute multi-faceted communications strategies for clients.
  • Develop content calendars and goals for clients. 
  • Produce creative and innovative social media content.
  • Draft compelling copy for email, digital ads, and press releases, op-eds, and other external materials for clients.
  • Monitor news and relevant topics for clients.
  • Analyze metrics and report on performance, best practices, and results.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 years digital and/or strategic communications experience working with nonprofit organization, corporation, party committee, campaign, or government entity.
  • Demonstrate strong writing and copy-editing skills.
  • Understand message development.
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing, often unpredictable, and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.

This position is part of the collective bargaining unit (CBU) organized under Teamsters Local 696 and is a full-time, exempt position with a base salary of $52,000 annually. This position includes a benefits package consisting of medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k) and paid time off.
